Hereditary Cancer and You
Up to 10% of all cancers develop because a person inherited a genetic mutation that increases cancer risk. People with these mutations are far more likely to develop certain cancers, often at younger ages than the general population.
At your appointment, your provider will assess your hereditary cancer risk based on your personal and family history. We use the Myriad myRisk Hereditary Cancer Test, which analyzes genes associated with breast, ovarian, gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, prostate, endometrial, and melanoma cancers. Results provide critical information to help your provider build a personalized cancer risk-reduction plan, which may include earlier or more frequent screenings.

DNA Drug Sensitivity Testing

Myriad Foresight® Carrier Screening
We’re proud to offer the Myriad Foresight Carrier Screen, designed to identify more couples at risk of passing serious inherited conditions to their children. Universal carrier screening for cystic fibrosis and spinal muscular atrophy is recommended by the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and Myriad’s methodology identifies significantly more affected pregnancies than a traditional 23-mutation cystic fibrosis panel.

Screening based only on family history or ethnicity can miss affected pregnancies. According to Myriad:
